Build Your Lead

Put your House in the lead before Sports Day through the Strava Move Challenge and Sports Quiz Challenge.

The Pre-Event Challenges

Challenge What you'll do When
Strava Move Challenge Walk, run or cycle at your own pace and add distance to your House total. 22 September to 1 November
Sports Quiz Challenge Answer a quick multiple-choice quiz and earn points with every correct answer. 5 October to 2 November

Before You Begin

  1. Listen to your body, go at your own pace and take part safely — it's about contributing to your Sports House, not pushing beyond your limits.
  2. Make sure you know your Sports House.
  3. Read the guidelines for each challenge before taking part.
  4. For the Strava Move Challenge, join the correct Strava Club and set your activity visibility to Everyone so it counts towards your House total.
  5. Check that your activity or submission has been recorded before the deadline.

Strava Move Challenge

Walk, run or cycle anytime, anywhere during the challenge period, and turn every verified kilometre into a contribution for your House, all on your own schedule and at a pace that works for you. There is no limit to how often you may participate or how far you may travel during the challenge period.

How to take part:

1. Download Strava

Download the Strava app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. If you already have Strava, you may skip this step.

• iPhone: Apple App Store
• Android: Google Play Store

5. Record and Save Your Activity

In Strava, tap Record, select Walk, Run or Ride, and tap Start. When you have completed your activity, tap Finish, review the details and select Save Activity

2. Create or Sign In to Your Account

Open Strava and create an account using one of the available sign-in options. Existing users can simply sign in.

6. Doing Your Challenge Indoors?

Treadmill walking and running can still count towards the Strava Move Challenge. As the Strava mobile app relies on GPS, it cannot accurately track treadmill distance. Use a compatible wearable device or fitness app that supports indoor activity tracking and sync it with Strava to record your distance.

3. Join Your House Strava Club

Visit the CIMB Sports Day website and select the Strava Club for your Sports House and activity type: Walking, Running or Cycling. When the Club page opens, tap Join Club

Each House has separate Strava Clubs for the different activity types, so make sure you select the correct one.

7. Set Your Activity Visibility to Everyone

Make sure your Profile, Activities and Group Activities visibility is set to Everyone so that it appears in your House Strava Club and can be counted towards your House total.

4. Connect Your Device or Fitness App

If you are using a smartwatch, fitness tracker or another fitness app, connect it to Strava before recording your activity. Check that your activities can sync successfully.

Open Strava → tap Record → select Walk, Run or Ride → tap Start.

View compatible devices and apps

8. Check Your House Club Feed

Open your House Strava Club and confirm that your activity appears in the Club feed. If it does not appear, check that:

• you joined the correct House Club
• you selected the correct activity type
• your activity visibility is set to Everyone
• your activity was successfully saved or synced

Make sure your activity appears in the Club feed before the challenge deadline.

Important: Your activity may not be counted if you join the wrong House Club, select the wrong activity type, keep your activity private, or do not save or sync the activity successfully.

Scoring

All distance clocked by House members is recorded weekly, with totals resetting at 11:59 pm every Sunday (Singapore time). Be sure to join the correct activity group under your Sports House so your distance counts. Only House-level totals will be tracked — no individual data will be collected.
